But it soon becomes clear that her parents are far from the biggest threat to Oink: somebody close to Babs just might be secretly taking part in a sausage competition with their eyes on him as the secret ingredient!
Based on the book by Tosca Menten and inspired by the irreverent style of Roald Dahl, this Dutch-produced family film with its splendid stop-motion animation and wicked sense of humour will win over children and adults alike.

After the shock death of his oldest friend, troubled small-town cop Dan (Phoenix Raei) finds himself in an emotional minefield. Overwhelmed by guilt and anguish, Dan takes his gun and runs off into the woods, where he intends to end his life. But he’s knocked out of his stupor when he stumbles upon a cantankerous hermit (Hugo Weaving) living in the woods. What follows is a tragically comic story about friendship and masculinity, as the two broken men discover that hope can come from the unlikeliest of places.
Australian actor Mark Leonard Winter makes directorial debut with this film, which offers up a Hugo Weaving performance for the ages. He’s clearly having a ball playing a feral bushman and letting it all hang loose (sometimes literally), and his off-kilter energy is infectious.
