The distinctive music and visual style of American rock band Talking Heads is captured in all its glory in this iconic live performance, which is widely regarded as the greatest concert film ever made. Directed by Jonathan Demme and shot over the course of three nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theatre in December 1983, the unique and unpredictable film features core band members David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Jerry Harrison as they perform their most memorable songs, from ‘Psycho Killer’ to ‘Girlfriend is Better’ to ‘Burning Down the House’ and more.
Stop Making Sense is a riveting piece of filmmaking that redefined what a concert film could be – so don’t miss your chance to revisit this cult classic fully restored and on the big screen for its 40th anniversary.

In 1943, Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel) and his wife, Hedwig (Sandra Hüller), live with their five children in an idyllic home in the Polish countryside. They have picnics near the river, play in their pool, and harvest vegetables and honey from their garden. For most anyone, it would be a dream life – apart from the fact that their house is located next to the Auschwitz concentration camp, and Rudolf is its Nazi commandant.
The Zone of Interest forces us to take a cold, hard look at the mundanity behind the one of history’s worst atrocities, making for a devastating Holocaust drama like no other. The film’s dispassionate, business-like tone – Rudolf looks over gas chamber blueprints while Hedwig tries on clothes confiscated from Jews – is striking and unforgettable, making the (mostly unseen) horrors taking place next door all the more gut-wrenching.
Winner of two Oscars in 2024 for Best International Film and Best Sound.
