In the 1830s, young estate agent Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult) travels to Transylvania to meet the enigmatic Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård), unaware of the dark force he’s about to unleash. As Hutter’s bride Ellen (Lily-Rose Depp) succumbs to a growing sense of dread, Orlok’s obsessive infatuation with her consumes everything – and everyone – in its path.

Acclaimed horror director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Witch) has been eyeing a reimagining of F. W. Murnau’s legendary 1922 masterpiece since he was nine years old, and finally given the chance, doesn’t disappoint. His Nosferatu is full-blown Gothic melodrama, just as spellbindingly beautiful as it is terrifying. Skarsgård chalks up another standout transformative performance as the vampire lord, while Depp’s committed portrayal anchors the emotional core of the film.
