At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, widower Kristófer (Egill Ólafsson) finds his world upended by a dementia diagnosis and decides to embark on a journey to solve the greatest mystery of his life.

As a student in London five decades earlier, he fell in love with Miko (Kōki), until she vanished without a trace at the height of their passionate affair. Now, as the entire world grapples with a deadly virus, Kristófer resolves to follow Miko’s trail across the globe, determined to find his once-soulmate before his memories of her are lost forever.
