Set in Australia’s most flood-prone town in Lismore, NSW, this poignant documentary follows the lives of several residents as they struggle to rebuild following a series of devastating climate disasters. Eli is a pragmatic local who loves his community but faces the harsh reality of rising waters, while his friend Harper transitions from frustration to fierce environmental activism. Meanwhile, social worker Carlie Atkinson establishes a First Nations healing centre to address the deep-seated trauma of the displaced population. As government buyback schemes threaten to dismantle the neighbourhood, the residents must decide if their connection to the land is strong enough to withstand the inevitable next tide.

Director Jordan Giusti filmed this project over three years to capture the authentic resilience of the Lismore community. The film won the Sustainable Future Award at the 2025 Sydney Film Festival, and has been hailed as an essential, heartbreaking and human look at the frontlines of the global climate crisis.
