When a highly infectious, parasitic fungus is accidentally released from a forgotten military bunker, the fate of humanity rests on an unlikely trio – a retired bioterrorism expert (Liam Neeson) forced back into action and two lowly facility employees (Georgina Campbell, Joe Keery) – to contain the outbreak. Together, they must navigate the labyrinthine tunnels of the storage unit to stop the organism from reaching the surface, all while dealing with the gruesome effects the parasite has on those it consumes.

This science fiction horror-comedy is based on the 2019 novel by legendary screenwriter David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man), who also penned the film's script. Offering a high-stakes blend of visceral scares and dark humour, alongside a cast that brings both gravitas and comedic timing, Cold Storage is a clever subversion of traditional disaster movie tropes.
