In the economically depressed landscape of 1980s Ireland, the inauguration of a National Lottery offers a glimmer of hope to a struggling populace. But not for Cork-based mathematician Stefan Klincewicz, who becomes obsessed with finding a flaw in the lottery's design. He recruits a ragtag team of chancers to execute an audacious plan to "fix" the draw and win the multi-million pound jackpot.
