Andrea "Andy" Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is a recent journalism graduate who lands a dream job of a million (other) girls as an assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the formidable and icy editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. Initially dismissive of the fashion world, Andy finds herself struggling to survive Miranda’s impossible demands and the cutthroat atmosphere of the office. With the help of the sophisticated art director Nigel (Stanley Tucci), Andy undergoes a glamorous transformation, but soon discovers that climbing the professional ladder in the elite world of high fashion requires a devastating personal sacrifice.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, this modern classic remains a cultural touchstone, so much so that a highly-anticipated sequel has been talked about for literally decades and is finally hitting cinemas. With its razor-sharp wit, iconic costume design, and enduring exploration of the complexities of female ambition in the workplace, what's not to love about The Devil Wears Prada?

Twenty years after walking away from the fashion world, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) has established herself as a prestigious award-winning journalist. However, her life comes full circle when she is recruited back to Runway magazine as the new features editor, once again under the watchful eye of the eternal Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). As the industry grapples with the shift to digital and Gen Z influences, Andy must navigate her complex history with Miranda while reuniting with fashion director Nigel (Stanley Tucci). Meanwhile, her former rival Emily (Emily Blunt), now a high-flying executive at Dior, becomes a key player in a corporate battle for the magazine's future.

Once again directed by David Frankel, this highly anticipated sequel reunites the original lead cast for an all-too-timely exploration of the evolving media landscape. Critics have particularly enjoyed the updated dynamic between Andy and Miranda, proving that some professional bonds – and rivalries – never truly go out of style.
