A massive THANK YOU to all of you who came along and supported our Annual Trivia Night last Friday!
The event was a phenomenal success, and was our best-attended Trivia Night to date with over 200 people in attendance – not to mention a similarly record-breaking level of funds raised for the Film Group. We hope everyone there had as great a time as we had putting it all together… if not better!
For those of you who weren't able to make it along, not to worry – we’ll be back bigger and even better next year as part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations. In the meantime, be sure to take a look at some of what you missed out on with our album of photos from the night's ‘Best Production Design’ round which can be found on Facebook HERE.
The round required teams to creatively depict a randomly assigned Best Picture Oscar winner in play-doh form. And as you can see, the end results were definitely Oscar worthy!

WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK

We kick off the month of September with two of the year’s biggest blockbusters: Marvel’s ANT-MAN, and the latest in Arnie’s time-travelling robot saga, TERMINATOR GENISYS. Plus, THE INCREDIBLES are back on the big screen, while Kate Winslet cultivates roses (and romance) in A LITTLE CHAOS.
• Fri 4 Sep @ 7:30 PM: TERMINATOR GENISYS + A LITTLE CHAOS
He’s back! In TERMINATOR GENISYS, futuristic resistance fighter Kyle Reese travels to the year 1984 to rescue Sarah Connor from a Terminator sent back to kill her, but finds himself caught in an unexpected alternate timeline. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney and Jason Clarke.
Then, in A LITTLE CHAOS (at approx. 9:45 PM), Kate Winslet plays a landscape designer who becomes romantically entangled with the man she is competing against to win an assignment to build a garden for King Louis XIV. Also starring Matthias Schoenaerts, Alan Rickman and Stanley Tucci.
• Sat 5 Sep @ **7 PM**: ANT-MAN + THE INCREDIBLES
In Marvel Studios’ latest astonishing adventure, ANT-MAN, a thief (Paul Rudd) is recruited by an inventor (Michael Douglas) to embrace his inner hero and pull off a heist that will save the world – armed with a super-suit that allows him to shrink to the size of an insect.
Then, THE INCREDIBLES are back (at approx. 9 PM)! In Pixar’s Oscar-winning masterpiece, a family of superheroes – forced to adopt civilian identities and live a quiet suburban life – find themselves returning to a life of action when the safety of the world is threatened.
