You're invited to the ANUFG's 50th Birthday Party!

19th February, 2016

The ANU Film Group commenced its first ever programme of regular screenings on Monday February 28th, 1966. Now, exactly 50 years to the date, we’ll be celebrating our 50th birthday with a special event on Sunday 28th February, 2016!

The event will begin at 6 PM at the Coombs Theatre with refreshments to be provided upon arrival. This will be followed by a commemorative screening of Stanley Kubrick’s DR. STRANGELOVE OR: HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE BOMB, our most frequently screened film (15 times!) and the second film ever screened from that first programme in 1966.

We hope that you can join us and our other special invited guests at the event to raise a glass to 50 years of Australia’s biggest – and best – film society.

If you wish to attend, we ask that you please fill out a registration form at www.anufg.org.au/birthday for catering purposes. As spaces at the event are limited, attendees will be randomly drawn from all registered members and those successful will be emailed directly by no later than Thursday 25th February.

There is no need to register if you only wish to attend the screening of DR. STRANGELOVE, which will start at approximately 7 PM.
