Congratulations to all of the winners at the 90th Annual Academy Awards! Here's a list of all of the Oscar winning films that are coming up at the ANU Film Group, starting with THE SHAPE OF WATER and THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI this week:

• Thu 8 March @ 7:30 PM: THE SHAPE OF WATER (Free Screening) – Winner of 4 Oscars, including Best Picture

• Fri 9 March @ 7:30 PM: THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI – Winner 2 Oscars, including Best Actress (Frances McDormand)

• Sat 10 March @ 7 PM: THE SHAPE OF WATER – Winner of 4 Oscars, including Best Picture

• Fri 16 March @ 7:30 PM: DARKEST HOUR – Winner for Best Actor (Gary Oldman)

• Sat 17 March @ 7 PM: PHANTOM THREAD – Winner for Best Costume Design (and a jet ski)

• Thu 22 March @ 7:30 PM: I, TONYA – Winner for Best Supporting Actress (Allisson Janney)

• Sat 28 April @ 7 PM: CALL ME BY YOUR NAME – Winner for Best Adapted Screenplay

The ANU Film Group’s Oscar Week continues with not one, but two screenings of Best Picture Winner THE SHAPE OF WATER, as well as the double Oscar-winning THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI. Plus, Matt Damon and Julianne Moore in director George Clooney’s SUBURBICON and the thrilling finale to the MAZE RUNNER trilogy.

Please note that tonight’s screening of THE SHAPE OF WATER is free and open to the public as part of the Enlighten festival and ANU Enlighten Minds | Thinking Spaces. ANUFG members are welcome to attend the free screening, but may wish to attend the members-only screening on Saturday instead to avoid missing out, as it is likely to be very popular.

• THU 10 MAR @ 7:30 PM: THE SHAPE OF WATER (Free Screening) (MA, 123 min)

Set in 1960s Baltimore, director Guillermo del Toro's magical film follows a mute and lonely janitor (Sally Hawkins) at a high-security government laboratory who finds her life changed forever when she discovers and befriends a captured sea creature. Winner of 4 Oscars, including Best Picture.

• FRI 11 MAR @ 7:30 PM: THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI (MA, 115 min) + SUBURBICON (MA, 104 min)

In THREE BILLBOARDS, a vengeful mother (Frances McDormand) personally challenges the local authorities to solve her daughter’s murder when they fail to catch the culprit. Winner of 2 Oscars for Best Actress (McDormand) and Best Supporting Actor (Sam Rockwell).

Then, in SUBURBICON (at approx. 9:30 PM) a seemingly-perfect family finds their lives imploding when they become victims of a home invasion after an African-American family moves into their all-white neighbourhood. Starring Matt Damon and Julianne Moore, and directed by George Clooney.

• SAT 12 MAR @ **7 PM**: THE SHAPE OF WATER (MA, 123 min) + MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE (M, 142 min)

In THE SHAPE OF WATER, a mute and lonely janitor (Sally Hawkins) at a high-security government laboratory in 1960s Baltimore finds her life changed forever when she discovers and befriends a captured sea creature. Winner of 4 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Then, in MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE (at approx. 9:15 PM), Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet: to break into a legendary labyrinth in order to save their friends and cure a deadly disease once and for all.
