Trivia Night on Friday + ALADDIN and More Screening This Week

Our biggest night of the year is upon us with our annual Trivia Night on Friday. Thank you to all of the people who have supported us by buying a ticket – we look forward to seeing you at the Hellenic Club in Woden in just two days!

As if a trivia extravaganza wasn’t enough, we also finish up the month of August with a number of films, including Disney’s new live-action take on ALADDIN, French zombies, an American indie drama, and Terry Gilliam’s latest fantasy epic more than 30 years in the making.

• WED 28 AUG @ 7:30 PM: 1985 (M, 86 mins)
After discovering that he is dying of AIDS, a closeted gay man returns to his hometown and struggles to reveal his diagnosis to his conservative family in this acclaimed American indie drama.

• THU 29 AUG @ 7:30 PM: THE NIGHT EATS THE WORLD (MA, 94 mins)
A man awakens in an apartment in Paris to discover that he appears to be the sole survivor of a zombie invasion and must do what he can to stay alive in this acclaimed zombie thriller. Note: this will screen in its French-language version.

A street urchin named Aladdin (Mena Massoud) embarks on a magical adventure after finding a lamp that contains a powerful genie (Will Smith) in this live-action take on Disney's 1992 animated classic.

• SAT 31 AUG @ 7:30 PM: THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE (M, 133 mins)
A disillusioned film director (Adam Driver) becomes entangled in the time-jumping fantasies of an old Spanish cobbler (Jonathan Pryce) in Terry Gilliam's adventure-comedy that was more than 30 years in the making.
