CANADIAN FILM DAY SCREENING: ‘DRUNKEN BIRDS’ ON APRIL 20
...............................................................

In celebration of National Canadian Film Day, the ANU Film Group and the Canadian High Commission will be hosting a free screening of the award-winning DRUNKEN BIRDS on Wednesday 20 April at 7:30 pm in the Kambri Cinema.

In the film, a Mexican drug cartel worker makes the fatal mistake of falling in love with his boss’s wife. When they are separated and forced to go into hiding, he travels to Canada to find her, eventually taking a job as a seasonal migrant worker in rural Quebec, where he becomes entangled in his host family’s domestic turmoil.

Directed by Ivan Grbovic, DRUNKEN BIRDS was nominated for six Canadian Film Awards, including Best Film, and also selected as Canada’s entry for Best International Feature Film at this year's Oscars. Check out its trailer HERE

No registration is required for ANU Film Group members. Just come along next Wednesday!
