Wizards, filmmakers, German robots, French architects and the one and only Nicolas Cage all feature at the ANU Film Group in the second week of our new Winter season!

A filmmaking couple embark on a pilgrimage to an island off the coast of Sweden that once inspired Ingmar Bergman to each write screenplays for their upcoming films, but soon find reality and fiction beginning to blur.

A German scientist is persuaded to participate in an unorthodox study to get funding for her research: for three weeks, she must live with – and evaluate – a humanoid robot which has been designed to be the perfect life partner for her.

NATIONAL RECONCILIATION WEEK SCREENINGS

The ANU will be hosting a series of events to celebrate this year’s National Reconciliation Week (May 27 to June 3) as well as Australian First Nations peoples, their histories and cultures. This will include a number of film screenings co-hosted by the ANU Film Group between May 28 and May 30.
