We couldn't be happier to announce that the ANUFG will be finally making our long-awaited return in the week beginning February 10, just one month away!
Programme details – including a full week of free blockbuster screenings – are being finalised now, and will be announced very soon via our Facebook page and on our website here..
All memberships that were valid at the time of our shutdown on June 2, 2024 will be automatically extended by 36 weeks at no cost. There’s nothing you need to do, but if you wish to find out when your extended membership will expire, please email info@anufg.org.au with your membership number.

Following our extended hiatus, there are now opportunities to get involved with Australia's largest film society either as a paid projectionist or as a volunteer doorperson. See below for more details and let us know if you're keen!
Seeking a Projectionist
We're now recruiting a reliable and technologically-minded person to join our team of projectionists and operate our cinema-grade equipment. Will need to be available in the evenings for at least one shift a week. Past experience not required, with all training to be provided. This is a paid position with award rates.
Seeking Volunteer Doorpeople
We're also looking for a couple of new doorpeople for the coming season to greet members and scan their cards as they enter the cinema. This is an unpaid volunteer position, but you will receive complimentary membership for the following season as a token of thanks upon completion of rostered sessions.
