WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK
.................................................................
Last, but certainly not least, here’s your usual reminder about what’s on this week in our action-packed double feature:
• Sat 5 July @ **7 PM**: SABOTAGE + NON-STOP
In our exclusive Canberra premiere screening of SABOTAGE, members of an elite DEA task force find themselves mysteriously being taken down one by one after pulling off the biggest drug bust of their careers. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington and Terence Howard.
Then, in NON-STOP (at approx. 9 PM), Liam Neeson plays an air marshal who is forced to spring into action during a transatlantic flight when he receives a series of messages threatening to kill a passenger on the flight every twenty minutes unless a ransom is paid.
The stars come out this week at the Film Group with a double feature of the latest films from two renowned directors, Wes Anderson and Ridley Scott, both featuring big ensemble casts.
• Sat 28 June @ **7 PM**: THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL + THE COUNSELOR
Check into THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL for the adventures of a legendary concierge (Ralph Fiennes) and his trusted lobby boy in Wes Anderson’s latest. Featuring an all-star cast including Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Edward Norton and Tilda Swinton.
Then, in Ridley Scott’s THE COUNSELOR (at approx. 8:45 PM), a successful lawyer (Michael Fassbender) finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking. Also starring Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz and Brad Pitt.
.................................................................
‘SABOTAGE’: EXCLUSIVE CANBERRA PREMIERE SCREENING
.................................................................
We’re proud to announce that our screening of SABOTAGE next week on July 5 will be the film’s exclusive Canberra premiere -- and one of only a few theatrical screenings of the film in the country!
The film was due to be released in Australian cinemas in May this year, but was unexpectedly pulled at the last minute. Fortunately for us, lucky Film Group members still get to catch the explosive crime thriller in all its glory on the big screen.
SABOTAGE stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington and Terence Howard as members of an elite DEA task force who find themselves mysteriously being taken down one by one following a drug cartel bust. An action-packed take on Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None”, the film is the latest from director David Ayer, who brought us the gritty cop drama END OF WATCH last year.
SABOTAGE screens on Saturday 5 July at 7 PM, followed by Liam Neeson’s in-flight action flick NON-STOP at approx. 9 PM.

All reviews will be published in our 64-page booklet that all members receive at the beginning of each semester, as well as on our website. Please also note that:
1. The ANU Film Group does not provide reviewers with tickets to, or a copy of, films that they have been assigned to review.
